Special Land Use

If you've landed here, you probably have heard about an application we have put into Independence Township!  That's right, our current space is getting too small to handle the wonderful things we are accomplishing at Social Medium.  We have a signed purchase agreement on the current Cross Walk Family Church at 5311 Sunny Side Dr in Clarkston.  In order for us to use that space in any other way than a church, it requires permission from the Planning Commission.  Below you will find the slides we submitted as the application attachment.  Also below is the flyer we hand delivered to the residents that get notification from the township.  That planning commission meeting is October 10th at 6 pm, see Township Website for more information. 


We want to assure you that we do not want to disrupt the integrity of the neighborhood.  Our generated traffic should be far less than the active church use generates, albeit distributed throughout the week.  We don't plan to change any outdoor lighting, parking, etc.  And we are open to landscaping suggestions that may shield neighbors from the parking lot (which we also plan not to change).
